Description

Braun Thermoscan 3 IRT 3030 is an ear thermometer for the whole family that measures infrared heat generated by the eardrum and surrounding tissue in one second.

The audio fever indicator works as follows: 1 beep for normal temperature, 2 beeps for high temperature and 4 beeps for high temperature.

Its memory function allows a recall of the last temperature taken.

The box contains:

  • Braun Thermoscan 3 IRT 3030,
  • 1 protective cap,
  • 21 disposable tips without BPA,
  • 1 lithium battery of 3 volts.

2 years warranty.

Directions for use

Read carefully the instructions. Always replace disposable lens filters to maintain accuracy and hygiene.

I know my usual baseline temperature is normally 36.7C but the thermometer was regularly saying I was over 37C and sometimes 38C. I didn’t get the chance to use on the children. I didn’t find the audio beeps useful as it was indicating I had a fever. Even when just above 37c. I also don’t like that shields are needed as seems like an additional ongoing cost. Much prefer contactless thermometers for convenience
