Clément Thékan Tetramethrin Shampoo Dogs and Cats 200 ml

Use approx. 1.5 ml of shampoo per kg of body weight (i.e. 1.5 mg of tetramethrin per kg), corresponding to approx. 25 ml of shampoo for a 15 kg animal.
Wet the animal thoroughly with lukewarm water. Apply the shampoo to the back and neck, taking care to avoid the eyes.
Rub vigorously, adding water if necessary, to obtain an abundant lather to spread over the animal's entire body.
Leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Repeat twice a week if necessary.

For the person administering: Wash hands after use.
Do not smoke, drink or eat during application.
Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental eye exposure, rinse thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, consult a physician.
Keep away from food and drink, including animal feed.

In animals: Avoid contact with eyes or mouth. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water. Do not use on kittens under 2 months of age.
Do not use on sick or convalescent animals or those with extensive skin lesions.
Use during pregnancy or lactation only after a veterinarian has assessed the risk/benefit ratio.
Do not use other pyrethroid insecticides at the same time.

Veterinary use. For external use. Do not swallow.

Overdose: Signs of intoxication include tremors, muscle weakness, hypersecretion and respiratory distress. If nervous disorders appear, wash with warm water and soap to remove any remaining product. If these symptoms persist, consult a veterinarian.

Tetramethrin may be toxic to aquatic organisms. Do not allow dogs to swim in waterways in the days following application.

Undesirable effects have been observed in both target species, mainly in cats: mainly nervous symptoms (lethargy, ataxia, tremors, even convulsions), as well as digestive symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea), whether or not associated with anorexia. Treatment is symptomatic.

Do not store above 25°C.

Empty containers and any product residues must be disposed of in accordance with current waste disposal regulations. Due to the toxicity of pyrethroids to fish, avoid contamination of water sources.
