Before use, be sure to remove the paper ring around the bundle.
Light one end of the bundle with a match or lighter.
Let it burn for a few seconds, then gently shake the flame to create an ember.
Hold the lit bundle over a fireproof container to collect the ashes.
The sage will produce a fragrant smoke.
You can now begin fumigation.
When you've finished, extinguish the bundle by tapping it gently in a container to extinguish the embers.
Open all windows and doors to let the smoke out and to freshen the air.
Save your bundle for future use.
Make sure it is completely extinguished and cooled before storing it in a dry place.
