Vitaflor Common Sage Leaves 50g is a loose infusion of sage leaves (Salvia officinalis L).
Native to the Mediterranean Sea, Sage loves sunny places. Its Latin name "salvare" means "heal, save". In many cultures, its gathering was subject to a sacred rite. In ancient Rome, only virgins had the right to pick it, and in France, this task was reserved for the Druids.
- Infusion: pour the plant in hot simmering water and infuse 3 to 5 minutes, according to your tastes, to fully release the flavors and benefits of the plant.
- As a decoction: immerse the plant in water and bring to a boil for 10 to 20 minutes, then steep 10 to 15 minutes off the heat before filtering.
- Maceration: pour the plant in cold water for several hours then filter.
