Excellent Razor and Blades
I use to use a Wilkinson Profile FX but when the blades became unavailable I moved to a Defender (sold in Europe as a Boldking) mainly because I was becoming rather disillusioned with the continuing number of blades that companies were adding. Whilst that gave a close shave the handle had a 'cheap' feel and I found that I frequently 'nicked' myself and it felt rather 'draggy'. Indeed to reduce this I had to stop using Shaving Oil (which I preferred) to using Shaving Gel.
I persevered with this but finally got fed up with it - so decided to give other makes a go, one of which included Wilkinson Sword Quattro.
All I can say is wow - what a revelation.
Firstly, the handle feels a nice quality.
Secondly, the blades glide super-easily across your skin.
Thirdly, none of this comes at the expense of the closeness of the shave, which is just as good as the Defender.
However, the Forth and biggest improvement is the lack of nicks. Since using this razor for a month I can honestly say that I have not cut myself once (whereas with the Defender I had cut myself 5-days out of a 7-day use). I can only but this down to the small wires that run across the blades which I believe were originally used in the Wilkinson Sword Protector. I had initially thought that these would result in the shave not being as close as my previous razor - but I'm pleased to say that is not the case.
The Fifth and last point to make is that if you take out a subscription the blade costs are really great value for money - equal to or better than a lot of the 'shave club' subscription services.
In conclusion I would highly recommend this razor and its blades.

Very disapointed
After just using disposable razors for years, I thought I'd switch to something with less waste.
I must say it looks and feels the part, but the actual shave the important part is terrible. I had to go over my face several times, taking possibly three times as long, as it kept missing bits or not going close enough. I really can't understand how a brand new blade can miss so much, I'm honestly baffled. The pack came with about 9 blades but I'll now have to go back to my old type or try another make.

Rubber inserts on razor prone to "perishing"
I like the blades but this is the second razor that I have had to ditch due to perishing rubber handle inserts.

As good as ever...
Been using these Quattro blades to shave my head for 25 years or so, still the best for the job and this pack came with a very fine new handle.
