Take the time to apply lipstick along the line of your lips, without trying to go overboard, as this gives an artificial effect.
If you feel the need, you can use a lip contour pencil to outline your lips.
You can also apply it under lipstick to improve its hold.
Pinch a tissue between your lips. Apply a second coat of lipstick. You're done!
